Diver Directing Unit DDU

The Diver Directing Unit is a handheld watertight PC which shows the overall situation of the detected area. The crew of a speed boat can be guided to the location of the intruder by the Diver Directing Unit and is then able to initiate countermeasures.

The location of the intruder is automatically updated.

The DDU is equipped with a WLAN system and optional with an underwater communication system. For the use above the water line the contact to the equivalent system in the DDS node is held via WLAN, for the use under water it is connected to the DDS via the underwater communication system. All data sent via WLAN can be encrypted due to military standards.
